Vice Chairman Operations - Charles Wheeler CPLCharles completed 20 years in the United States Air Force as a Project Officer on the Joint USAF/ Navy Ground Launch Cruise Missile Office, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio; other program office assignments included the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). Between program office assignments he was in contractor facilities of Thiokol, Inc. and Westinghouse as Chief of the Engineering Division accepting products for all services produced by these companies, which included Minuteman solid rocket motors and F-16 surveillance and fire control radars.
Upon leaving the USAF, Charles has continued his support of the military and logistics communities working first in supporting the FAA’s ARSR-4 Long Range Radar Program Office in Washington D.C. His second contractor support was to the H-60 Program Office at Patuxent River, MD in the areas of Logistics and Master Scheduling. Currently he is with National Technologies Associates on the V-22 Osprey logistics team.
Charles joined the International Society of Logistics (SOLE) in 1980 while at Westinghouse facility and joined the Baltimore Chapter. He obtained his certification in 1993 (CPL #989). His formal education includes degrees in engineering, management and business. He was elected to the Southern Maryland chapter 4 Board of Directors in June of 2001 to current position of Chairman. |
